A New Dimension Child Enrichment Center

   
Anew Dimension Child Enrichment Center is an early childhood education program that invites children to imagine with adults the endless possibilities of sharing and developing gifts and talents in a creative arts community.  

Anew Dimension Child Enrichment Center has been helping children reach their full potential since 1969.  We are a nonprofit, NAEYC accredited child enrichment program, serving economically and culturally diverse children and families in Minnesota.  We provide unique and inclusive care in a nurturing atmosphere where all cultural perspectives are valued.   Many of the children at Anew Dimension come from East African immigrant communities.  Multiple different languages are spoken and celebrated. The diversity of the families we serve is reflected in our staff and board of directors. Our highly valued staff come from a variety of backgrounds and typically stay with the program for many years.  The longevity of our staff retention is something we are proud of and a significant strength of our program.  

Our curriculum is individualized, focusing on the development of each child with an emphasis on social and emotional development, school readiness and the arts.  For over 50 years our organization has grown and developed with the changing needs of our community.  We are committed to offering the highest quality care and education for children and strengthening families throughout the Twin Cities.  We are proud to acknowledge our reputation as an organization with “a compelling mission and history of achievement”.

This Thursday, November 16th we are excited to be partnering with GiveMN.org for their annual Give to the Max fundraising challenge!  We are incredibly grateful for the support we have received in previous campaigns that have allowed us to make improvements to our outdoor playground spaces.  

This year, we have identified a very pressing and tangible need in one of the most important areas of the program, our kitchen.  It is where well-balanced, nutritious meals are created everyday and the diversity of Anew is reflected.  Sustenance and diversity blend together seamlessly.    

Ms. Beytu, the head cook at Anew Dimension, often brings her own East African cuisine to the menu.  Children and staff are especially fond of her delicious specialty, lentils.  She also includes from scratch international cuisine that gives children a sneak peak at many cultures through their taste buds.  Many of the children in our program eat plant-based or vegetarian diets, or require special foods and milk products.  Different diets for individual children are accommodated by Ms. Beytu.  

The kitchen is an extremely busy hub of activity throughout the day.  It requires tools to provide the best quality food in an efficient and timely manner.  Unfortunately, one of these very important tools has begun to fail.  Our over 30 year old commercial range is in need of replacement at this time.  A new commercial range is an expensive purchase.  We are reaching out to the GiveMN community, friends and parents of Anew Dimension.  Any donation that you can offer is greatly appreciated. The replacement of this range is vital to the functionality of our kitchen space that provides nourishment and cultural exposure that we value so highly in all that we do at Anew.
