GIVING IS AT THE HEART OF ART.

Each week we’ve knocked, and you’ve welcomed us into your homes to share a little virtual sunshine. We’ve asked you to consider contributing to some of our favorite charities that give aid to people in need during these challenging times. We here at New Dawn Theatre Company want to loudly shout, “Thank you!”
We appreciate how you have been showing up and showing out to take care of yourselves and our communities during this pandemic.
We are impressed and inspired by who you are!

This unprecedented time is changing all of us; compelling us to re-imagine how we live our lives now and going forward. Like all other theaters across the nation, we have had to cancel projects and postpone productions until Spring of 2021. We are in this fight together! Ready to do everything we can to slow the spread of COVID-19 and keep everyone safe. And like all other theaters, we eagerly look forward to the day when we may resume supporting our artists by paying living, competitive wages to those magical warriors that give so much of themselves to all of us.

These difficult days have afforded great moments of reflection. We are refocusing our lenses so that the idea of 'community' becomes clearer. It is apparent that we are collectively emerging out of our cocoons as artists by creating innovative ways to transform, help and heal each other. Because of you, because of our work together, we will come through! Once on the other side we will discover that we are stronger and more beautiful as a nation.

Sheltering in place may feel like we are doing nothing. Please know that the act of sheltering in place is aggressively taking action, striking a blow that will help blunt the curve of this virus. For those of you who are able and want to do more, the NDT family thought you might want to know that GiveMN.orgis launching a virtual fundraising campaign to support Minnesota nonprofits and schools from May 1stthrough May 8th. #GiveAtHomeMN

There are so very many wonderful arts organizations that need assistance right now. We believe if you give to one, you help the community thrive! It would be an honor and privilege to be among the organizations that you would consider supporting this week. If funding is not possible at this time, please consider partnering with us in equally important & creative ways to help keep afloat artists who have lost production contracts and supplemental incomes due to COVID-19.

• Materials for artists interested in creating protective face coverings for essential workers.
