Adults’ & Children’s Alliance (ACA) – Our Story
Our Mission: To serve children by supporting those who care for them.
For over 40 years, Adults’ & Children’s Alliance (ACA) has stood beside the people who make childhood possible — the caregivers, parents, and educators who nurture Minnesota’s next generation.
What began as a way to help families balance care and income has grown into a statewide movement empowering women entrepreneurs in home childcare. As a proud USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) sponsor, ACA helps providers serve nutritious meals, meet licensing and training requirements, and build sustainable childcare businesses that uplift families and communities.
Rising Together in Challenging Times
When the pandemic disrupted learning and strained families, ACA didn’t step back — we stepped up. Through our Community Support Initiative, we rallied volunteers, neighbors, and partners — our “village” — to help close the gaps for children and caregivers facing uncertainty.
Together, we:
- Guided parents and caregivers through online learning tools
- Partnered with local organizations to create safe spaces for support
- Delivered direct relief through gas cards, food assistance, and community resources
- Ensured families felt seen, supported, and never alone
Building a Stronger Tomorrow
At ACA, we believe that when caregivers thrive, children flourish — and when children flourish, communities grow stronger.
Your support helps us continue this vital work: nourishing children, empowering caregivers, and strengthening the village that holds us all together.
Together, we can build a brighter, healthier future for every child in Minnesota — give today and be part of the village that makes it possible.
