Adults' & Children's Alliance

Hello Friends, 

Adults' & Children's Alliance has been working with in-home childcare providers for 40 years providing nutrition education, training, and monitoring for compliance for the USDA CACFP program.  ACA also provides products and support services to providers working from home. Since Covid-19 has started, many work sites were impacted causing social distancing and other work barriers forcing many to transition to work from home.  In-home care providers that are already working from home have less opportunity to social distance when working from home providing quality care to others.  ACA has an increased focus to provide more support to ALL care providers so they can stay safe while giving quality care, providing healthy snacks and meals, and keep children safe in this ever-changing environment. Focusing on safety, healthy food access, personal protection equipment supplies, and other needs that are impacting caregivers caring for children. 

Previously ACA has fundraised for men of color to be CPR certified.  In partnership with Minneapolis the Father Project of Goodwill-Easter Seals, men and several women went through the partnership to receive 2-year child and adult First Aid, AED and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.  Covid-19 stopped in person trainings however we would like to restart this partnership.

Last year ACA fundraised for caregivers in North Minneapolis, MN helping their child with distance learning.  A check was presented to KIPP MN for $1370. 

ACA is exploring and implementing new innovative ways to continue supporting those caring for children while staying safe themselves.
