Hi friends!

Ride4Reparations is Twin Cities-based non-profit focused on helping to heal racial inequity in America (our mission statement is below). We're organizing a 15-mile bike ride on August 21 in order to build community, raise money, and educate people about how racism has shaped the Twin Cities. Our tour guide is Penny Peterson of the Mapping Prejudice project, and we'll be covering the history of racial housing covenants in the Twin Cities. We're working hard to make sure the event is both super interesting and also a lot of fun.

Because our emphasis is on education and community building, we want to make the ride accessible to everyone. But it turns out running an event is not cheap! From permits to snacks to t-shirts to photographers and more, we'll need to raise some money to pull this off. That's what this fundraising campaign is about.

In order to make the ride affordable for anyone who wants to join us, we're raising money to defray the costs of running the event. (You can think of it as a scholarship for riders, or a rider-ship.) Even better, the more money we raise, the more we can contribute to our partner organizations, each of which makes a valuable contribution to uplifting members of America’s Black community.

Please help us by contributing to this campaign. And then come join us for our ride on August 21!
