That picture is me and Robbie just before the 2024 Twin Cities Marathon. Robbie's first marathon. In this picture Robbie is wearing his old prison sweats. As we started running he took them off and left them behind. It was a simple but powerful action.

Mile in My Shoes is wrapping up our 11th year and it's been a full year. In addition to welcoming a new Executive Director and Program Director we had a big year in programming.

  • 205 people complete their first mile with MiMS

  • 112 Members complete 10 runs

  • 97 Members achieve alumni status

  • Over 400 people traditionally excluded from running complete the Downtown Run Around 5k race by giving them free race entries

All of that was possible because people just like you have been supporting us over the years. Donate today and you will be helping us continue changing peoples lives.

Throughout November we have matching campaigns to double your impact.

We also have some new incentives this year. Between now and November 21, when you donate $50 you will receive a MiMS-branded buff as a thank-you gift -- and we’ll donate one to a current Resident Member to help them keep running through the winter season.

When you donate $100, you'll score our newest MiMS item: a 50/50 merino wool blend beanie.

And at the $250 level, you'll receive our our Run More Judge Less camp mug.

Or you could drop $400 and get all three!

Finally, once again, on November 21st, I will be running the Tour de MiMS with a few other MiMS members. Starting from MiMS HQ we will be running to each of the MiMS team locations. The route will cover roughly 40 miles. Watch the MiMS social media channels for updates throughout the day.
