Child Development Lab School Virtual Food Drive

The Food Group provides hunger relief in Minnesota and western Wisconsin. Rising food prices and record inflation bring uncertainty and an increase in hunger for thousands of Minnesotans. Your gift will be used for immediate relief in our community. 

SNAP recipients were notified early October that they will not receive their food benefits in November if the federal government shutdown continues. This will leave half a million Minnesota families without food assistance next month.  

Without SNAP, Minnesota families and seniors won’t have enough food and will need more food shelf support. Many local food shelves are already overextended due to rising need and reduced federal resources. An interruption in SNAP benefits will only further stretch those limited resources and overwhelm our state food relief system.

$10 provides 20 meals for children who don't have consistent access to food over the weekend.

$25 provides a hot meal per week for a year to a senior living alone. 

$100 provides enough food for a family of four to eat three nutritious meals a day for two weeks.
