Thank You to Our Early Givers!

Update posted 3 years ago

A big thank you to all of our early givers who have already donated before today! We are well on our way to our goal of $20,000.

Can you help us meet it? Consider also sharing the link to our campaign on your social media, or email others in your network who are passionate about gender equity and social justice.

Or consider taking a screenshot of this photo and texting it to your friends and family. Every little bit counts!

Due to COVID-19, we have experienced exceptional fundraising challenges in 2020.

With your help, we will build an action plan and platform advocating for equity and justice for womxn, girls, and all people of color.

Our organization exists because we cannot work for justice and equity alone.

Help us continue to expand our mission, by contributing to our 40th anniversary campaign!

Suggested Donation Levels (any amount is accepted):

  • $40 in honor of our 40 years of advocacy and action to help fight inequities for all womxn
  • $460 to become an Individual Refounder - you'll be recognized in our permanent historical records, along with our original founders (learn more about Refounders here)
  • $1,400 to support the participation of 14 girls in our Girls ACT!® program
  • $4,000 to become a Business/Nonprofit Refounder - similar to the Individual Refounder, your company or organization will be recognized in our permanent historical records, with our original founders

Who We Are:

We don’t just talk equity, we live it.

WoMN ACT® (Advocate, Collaborate, Transform), previously Minnesota Women's Consortium, was established in 1980 as a network of individuals and organizations working to ensure women were included in the decision-making process for policies impacting them and their families. (We’ve used the term “women” above, as it was the relevant descriptor during the historic time being referenced.)

Since its inception, WoMN ACT has served as an umbrella organization providing leadership, training, and resources to anyone working toward the goal of gender equity. A forerunner to current co-working spaces, WoMN ACT co-owned the Minnesota Women’s Building and offered shared and private offices to small and emerging organizations from 1988-2018.

We have created and cultivated structures and institutions that could sustain and advance equity. We have valued cross-cultural and intersectional inclusivity from the beginning, and we have grown to embrace multiple dimensions of diversity through active recruitment of our members, staff, and board.

As the only statewide collective of womxn’s organizations in the country, WoMN ACT has a long history of breaking down barriers that prevent womxn and girls from having the confidence, freedom, and power to reach their full potential.

Please consider supporting us with a monetary gift today, to help sustain and support the emergency of inequity through our advocacy and legislative platforms targeting violence against womxn, criminal justice reform, health equity, and racial justice.

Together, we can ensure womxn have a collective voice to shape the world we want to see.

Thank you!
