Wavelets Creative is an artist-run community arts organization that began in 2016 as a means to develop and present innovative community arts events and experiences in our communities. We are a not-for-profit community arts organization, fiscally sponsored by Springboard For The Arts. Our artist-driven projects bring together a variety of artistic practices to discover new ways of seeing and relating to the world - immersive arts experiences that illuminate and strengthen connections between artists, communities, and the histories and ecologies that surround us. Your support is crucial, as we continue to grow by expanding our team of collaborating artists, and building partnerships with local organizations to continue growing into 2024 and beyond.

Central to our mission is offering our events freely in a spirit of generosity, offered as gifts to the larger community, rather than as commercial transactions. We don't charge admission to our events, but rather offer them freely and provide opportunities for attendees to donate and volunteer to support this work as they are inspired to. This dynamic is essential for the vitality of this work and its healing power. Support from community members is what makes this all possible, and here's a list of free community events we presented in 2023:

- Winter Sound Garden at HeartSpace Garden, East Phillips MPLS
- Earth Day Sound Garden at Montalvo Arts Center, Saratoga, CA
- AKIING SugarBush Sound Garden at Minnesota Grove, San Francisco, CA
- Library Woods Sound Garden at Madeline Island Public Library
- LOLA Sound Garden & Community Workshops, Land O' Lakes, WI
- Summer Sound Garden at HeartSpace Gardens, MPLS
- Fall Sound Garden at Wargo Nature Center, Lino Lakes, MN

This year, as the number and scale of our events continued to expand, we needed to scale up our organizational operations, bringing on additional staff and volunteers to help with things like event coordination, box office, outreach, marketing, and project management. For Give To The Max Day 2023, we are setting a higher fundraising goal, in order to meet these financial needs and expand our projects to more communities around Minnesota.

*** NEW REWARDS FOR GIVING! *****
We are excited to offer new gifts for larger donations as part of this new goal, including a backyard "Sound Garden" event* for the first donation of $3000 or more towards our goal. *Some restrictions apply, please contact us for more details.  For all donations over $100, we offer a limited-edition tote bag with a new logo designed by visual artist Olivia Thanadabout.

SOUND GARDENS + iNMiGRATiON
Sound Gardens combine music, dance, visual art, poetry, ecology and history into immersive sound + performance installations that are site-specific to each location where they are temporarily "planted". A new immersive way of experiencing a particular place, encouraging reflection and connection, these self-guided events can be described as "a concert you can move through", and have continued to attract an ever-growing number of participating artists and attendees around Minnesota and beyond. Our ongoing iNMiGRATiON site-specific performance installation series similarly brings together a variety of artists and performers for immersive explorations of harmony in community.

HELP SUPPORT WAVELETS CREATIVE PROJECTS!

As a not-for-profit arts group, Wavelets Creative depends on donations to continue developing and presenting innovative and dynamic experiences for our communities, and making them free and accessible to all, in a spirit of generosity. As a relatively new, small, independent artist organization, there is much to develop and coordinate, including websites, fundraising, social media, staff, and collaborations - and any donated amount can help immensely in making these projects possible.  Please consider contributing to Wavelets Creative today!
