Live

Soo most people know the rescue life can be exhausting and hearbreaking sometimes. Rescuers like to find opportunities to have fun when possible while doing the good work!

This year is Carlton County Animal Rescue's first year in participating in this year's Give to the Max campaign. Give to the Max is a great fundraising opportunity for nonprofits throughout MN to be able to share who they are while raising funds.

Like many rescues, they have a great number of fabulous volunteers, but they don't have fabulous amount of money as well. In order to continue being a successful rescue, it needs to have both the volunteer support and financial support. Any money raised during this campaign will go DIRECTLY to the animals. These funds will help provide more dog/cat food(which means more mouths to feed), spay/neuter appointments(which means less unplanned litters happening), and vaccines/medical care(which means healthier happier animals)!

Now back to the fun part, Meredith and Leslie have decide to create a challenge for themselves. They have decided to shave their heads in "solidarity" to support/raise awareness to the many many cats, dogs, kittens, and puppies out there on the streets who are cold and lonely. Like many know, this time of year and for the next 5 months (though it might seem like 9 months), it gets VERY cold here in MN. It can often times get to dangerous temperatures where many animals can't survive out there.

Meredith and Leslie have decided to challenge themselves to raise at least $3,000 for the rescue. They will not start growing their hair back until these funds are raised. Remember that cold weather referenced, yep their heads are going to be pretty cold until they can raise those funds.

Can you help them?!?! Then in turn, you are also 100% helping the rescue be able to help  more animals and bring more off those cold streets.

ANY amount works and adds up.

The rescue cannot continue its' work without the amazing support from its' community!

Stay Safe & Warm(Meredith and Leslie want that too:) ) out there!
