Mission Statement of BTJO
- Promote and advocate big band Jazz music through concert performances in duluth/Superior and the surrounding area by premier Northland musicians
- Perform new, original Jazz compositions and arrangements, as well as standard big band repertoire from Jazz masters
- Provide educational opportunities for youth through workshops and concert performances
- Benefit charitable causes and music programs in Duluth/Superior and the surrounding area through the donation of concert proceeds
