There's no other place where your dollars make a greater impact.

Global Volunteers strives to end childhood stunting in Tanzania -  a condition that destroys children's futures, and impoverishes their families and communities. It may seem overwhelming, but it's achievable! We're razing the origins of stunting through continuous teams of short-term volunteers - who attend to mothers and their young children, and provide essential services for education, health care and nutrition. An estimated 40 to 50 percent of rural Tanzanian children are stunted. Our RCP demonstration program in collaboration with our Tanzanian national and local partners is directly addressing the debilitating causes of childhood stunting.

We replace suffering with support. Global Volunteers has successfully collaborated with community leaders on hundreds of projects in the Iringa Region since 1986. Together, we've created a multi-year program for reaching out into rural villages to engage pregnant women, new mothers and their young children in centrally located workshops, seminars, physical examinations, innoculations, demonstration projects and more to encourage and enable healthy pregnancies and early growth and development. It's a formula producing sustained, provable results!

Be a part of this! Your contributions supply container gardens, food supplements, handwashing stations, toothbrushes, workbooks, internet service, computers, classroom resources, chicken coops, mosquito nets, student desks, prescription eyeglasses, sanitary latrines, new offices and facilities, and supplement salaries for rural caregivers, medical staff and program coordinators and many more life-enhancing resources.

For every dollar you donate, you bring impoverished mothers and vulnerable children closer to a life of health, hope and happiness.  And, you enable a steady stream of volunteers to maximize their contributions in direct service to those who need it the most.
