Help Children and Families in Under-resourced Communities to Thrive.

Since 1984, Global Volunteers has been mobilizing volunteer teams -- representing more than 35,000 volunteers -- to 100+ host communities worldwide to bring assistance and financial support.

In partnership with local leaders, parents, educators and rural caregivers, our short-term volunteers provide essential services and crucial material resources.

Short-term volunteers can help local communities ensure that every child receives the 12 essential services they need to realize their full potential. Our work complies with World Food Program, United Nations Children's Fund, World Health Organization and Food and Agriculture Organization  standards.

Most caring people agree that helping children to thrive is a necessary and worthy outcome.  Why?  Because children are our future.

Children don't create or control the circumstances of their birth, and they are among the most vulnerable of any society's population. But children respond quickly to efforts on their behalf.

Our ongoing, long-term projects include health, nutrition and hygiene education; English instruction; malaria and dengue fever prevention;  HIV AIDS education; early childhood parent workshops; container gardens; child nutrition; improved stoves, potable water and sanitation facilities; and girls' education.

Be assured EVERY donation makes a BIG difference in the life of a child!

One volunteer helping one child for as little as one week changes the health and future of the entire community!
