Help TPSS Expand Our Impact!

TPSS Co-op in Takoma Park, Maryland, is working to grow our impact by opening a second retail location that will expand access to our flagship food security program, Fresh Checks. The program, partially funded by a USDA grant, offers fresh fruits and vegetables at a 50% discount to SNAP recipients every day at the co-op.

Since 2022, the Fresh Checks program at TPSS has provided over $520,000 of fresh produce to thousands of SNAP shoppers at a 50% discount. Thanks to the grant and donations from our membership, the program allows TPSS to pay our local farmers and organic suppliers fair market value for their produce while meeting our community's need for fresh, nutritious food. Bringing this program to our new location will require even more funding.
