First off... THANK YOU!!!
If you're visiting this site, you know how much of an impact environmental education has made on my life, and hopefully yours as well. Thank you for your generosity and for making a difference in my life as well as others that will benefit from your contribution to the Minnesota Association for Environmental Education (MAEE)!
Help us make a difference for environmental education in 2021!!!
Many of us have had a favorite nature center or a environmental program get shut down this year with funding getting cut from budgets due to the Covid crisis. Environmental educators need our help now more than ever to stay open and to provide outdoor learning opportunities to young and old students alike! Please consider donating to MAEE which serves to connect, support, and provide resources to environmental educators across Minnesota.
In addition to helping a good cause, you could also win an opportunity to.........
SMASH your way out of 2020 to welcome in the New Year!!!
Each person that donates to MAEE from this page will be entered into a raffle for a chance to play Godzilla or Voldemort and demolish a gingerbread Hogwarts castle. If you win the raffle, the Hogwarts castle will be delivered to your door onto a large piece of plastic to catch all the debris after you SMASH it to bits with a baseball bat or demolishing device of your choosing! Imagine you (or your kids!) being able to release all the pent-up anger and frustration of 2020 and properly send it off into oblivion!!! The demolished remains will be promptly removed from your front yard, leaving you with a fresh, new 2021 to start the year off right. Donations received by December 31st will be included in the raffle.
How does this work? For every $20 donation, your name will be entered once into the raffle. So if you donate $100 for example, your name would be entered 5 times. A name will be chosen out of a bowl on January 1st and we'll arrange a "delivery" with the winner after that for sometime in mid-January. Deliveries will be made anywhere in Minnesota and Western Wisconsin.
What if I want to keep the castle or donate the SMASHING to a friend? We can delivery the gingerbread castle to whichever location you choose! You are also welcome to keep the gingerbread house with the disclaimer that is was built in October and you probably shouldn't eat it (unless you're Uncle Chris with his gut of steel).
Where did the gingerbread house come from? With the help of Dela, AJ & Rick, the Hogwarts castle was baked in our kitchen! It's part of our annual tradition to donate a gingerbread house to the Norway House in Minneapolis for their Gingerbread Wonderland display. You can visit the house (before it's SMASHED!) by getting signed up for a tour on the Norway House website.
