Welcome to Camp Bovey, where young people have been creating memories and friendships for over 60 years!
Located in the beautiful Northwoods of Wisconsin on Lake Metzger, Camp Bovey’s 200 acres offer the perfect setting for campers to experience the wonders of nature in a safe and exciting environment. Camp Bovey is a program operated by East Side Neighborhood Services.
At Camp Bovey, our days are filled with traditional camp activities such as swimming, canoeing, and archery — plus innovative arts education and team challenge courses. Campers leave with plenty of memories, along with life skills such as teamwork, leadership, and a spirit of adventure.
Without our sliding scale fee, however, many families would be unable to send their children to camp. Our Send a Kid to Camp campaign raises funds for these families, enabling underprivileged young people to experience a week in the wilderness.
Last year, 97% of campers needed scholarships — and thanks to our generous donors, each child received the aid that they required to attend. Because of our guarantee that no camper will be turned away due to financial limitations, Camp Bovey provides an average $60,000 in scholarships every year.
One former camper and current staff says: "Through my years at Bovey, I have gained the ability to conquer new experiences with excitement and drive. I have learned to have an open mind and to be willing to learn as opportunities for growth present themselves. I have been pushed to be creative and to care for this world we live in."
Your contribution changes the lives and shapes the futures of our campers.
Our mission: to provide a safe place for youth to have fun while participating in outdoor activities that help campers build respect for themselves, for one another, and for the environment.
Our vision: Camp Bovey sparks a lifelong connection to community, discovery, and our natural world: inclusive, accessible, and fun for all.
