East Side Neighborhood Services vision

East Side Neighborhood Services' mission is to build pathways toward equity by disrupting social and economic barriers. For more than 100 years, our goal has been to ensure that members of our community can meet their basic needs and achieve self-sufficiency and stability.

East Side serves community members of ALL ages through a holistic range of services including: 

1. Early childhood education
2. Youth programs that help young people develop the skills to succeed in school and in life
3. Workforce development for youth, adults, and seniors
4. Food programs
5. Services for older adults to help them live independently and make social connections in the community

Those who access our services are disproportionately poor, minority, elderly, and often all three. In 2024, we served 8,120 unduplicated people, 91% of whom lived at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level, and 71% of whom were BIPOC.

East Side Neighborhood Services has been a centerpiece of the Northeast Minneapolis community for over a century.
