$10,000 goal

Trellis Pension and Retirement Rights provides legal advice to help people make sense of complicated procedures and claim the dollars they've earned.

In fact, during the past 10 years, Trellis Pension and Retirement Rights has served more than 1,000 people and recovered more than $5 million for our clients.

“I was receiving my pension for more than four years when I was notified that the plan had made an error and I owed them $31,000. I was confused and terrified. Trellis Pension and Retirement Rights got the recoupment action reversed. I don’t know what I would have done without their help.”

Your gift matters

In the last two years, our funding from the federal government has been reduced, making it difficult for us to provide retirement services to a growing number of people who need help. For every dollar received in funding, the program recovers four dollars in retirement benefits for individuals.

Who benefits from your gift?

We’ve helped:

  • A domestic abuse survivor collect pension benefits from their ex-spouse.
  • An over-the-road truck driver prove years of service that qualified him for a pension benefit.
  • A disabled sheet metal worker successfully file an appeal to override a denial of benefits.
  • An employee seeking his benefit from a former employer who had gone out of business.
  • A spouse entitled to a joint benefit after her husband had been too sick to complete the necessary paperwork before he died.

make your gift go further

Give to the Max Day means your dollars make a bigger impact. Contributions from our board, staff and other contributors will match contributions up to $10,000.
