People's Center Clinics & Services is the healthcare resource for thousands of people in south Minneapolis, many of whom are in the most vulnerable circumstances. Our patients comprise the medically underserved residents of South Minneapolis, specifically recent East African immigrants and refugees. Our mission is to deliver affordable health care, inspire hope, and promote community wellness. We have been serving in this role for 50 years. We provide culturally responsive services and are the trusted institution for care.
Right now, as with the rest of the state, nation, and the world we are facing the rapid spread of a unique strain of coronavirus, COVID-19. What this means for us is we are adjusting how we provide care while maintaining high quality standards to ensure the safety of our patients and staff. Our healthcare providers are at the front-lines of this pandemic addressing the needs of our community and we need your help.
The supplies and materials we need to protect staff and patients during this outbreak are in high demand. The cost of supplies are increasing and the availability of supplies are decreasing. Without them our doctors, nurses and other members of our healthcare team will be unable to assist patients who may require life saving care.
Our medical, dental, and behavioral health providers have to be available when a person arrives at our clinic needing help. This requires us to be flexible, work longer hours, work in different ways, and possibly unusually long hours to meet the demand.
Many of the individuals in our community have no transportation and cannot get to our clinic or get needed supplies for care. These services have no other reimbursement mechanism. We are only able to cover them through your support. Please consider making a donation today to support People's Center and our work as we care for our community.
We are not only providers of Community Health Care; together, we are Community Health Care.
