Frank is fearless. Frank is curious. Frank sees the writing on the wall and ask, "why, and what can we do or say about it?" Wendy is obviously the catalyst all of those things, but so are the artists, the audiences and the people who choose to lift up the mission of this theatre. Frank has thrived in this community due in large part to those qualities and it is thriving right now because even when we can't produce work onstage, Frank has found a way to stay vital. It is producing a conversation series that is relevent to the whole artistic community, and it is doing so because Frank simply can't stay inactive while the world is in turmoil.
When I joined the board last year, I did so because I wanted to know a theatre from the inside out. I'd worn just about every other hat one can wear within a theatre, and having admired Wendy's work for ages and heard nothing but raves from actor friends who'd collaborated withpr her, Frank felt like a good fit. It was and is. This organization cares deeply about creating work that impacts its community. This organization isn't afraid of digging into difficult questions. It doesn't produce frothy theatre. The stories it tells are vivid and challenging and an antidote to the many problematic scripts currently in the traditional canon. I'm proud to have become a member of the Frank fanclub, proud to be part of a team that is working to build the infrastructure for real and change and equity within our ranks, and proud to ask for your hep in doing so. Please consider making a donation so thatwe can continue the inportant work Wendy began 31 years ago!

PS: If you're not overly familiar, here are some things the team thought you should know... Last year, Frank celebrated its 30th anniversary. 30 years of producing smart, challenging theatre that includes world premieres, musicals, area premieres, a lot of Bertolt Brecht, some stunning performances staged in the least likely venues, and plenty of food for thought. We just squeaked out our 31st season, when COVID brought the curtain down. We miss you and we CAN'T wait to get back in the theatre with you. Any help you can offer to help us get to the strongest possible position to do so will be greatly appreciated!
