This Give to the Max Day, we’re asking for your help to preserve the spaces that sustain creative life across Minnesota--and  your support will be matched up to $10,000 by a generous individual donor.

From the urban Twin Cities to rural Fergus Falls, Artspace buildings are cornerstones of creative communities. Each is a vibrant hub of artistic energy, cultural exchange, and economic activity.

But these buildings—some over three decades old—need care to remain strong. Roofs age. Mechanical systems wear down. After 15 to 20 years, arts spaces need significant reinvestment to stay safe and affordable for their artist communities. That’s why this year’s campaign is all about securing the future of these spaces so they can continue to serve generations of creatives.

Artspace is working to recapitalize the properties we’re best positioned to sustain—unlocking public funding for critical infrastructure repairs. This work is time-intensive, complex, and often underfunded—but it’s essential to the long-term health of our artist communities.

Your gift today helps Artspace compete for the funds that keep roofs strong, elevators running, and artists creating for another generation. And we’re doing all this while we build for the future, opening more than 80 new live/work artist housing units on the Northrup King Building campus this spring 2026.
