Support Minnesota’s only not-for-profit photo arts center, exhibition space, and public access darkroom!

EXPANSION PROGRESS Thanks to your support in 2022, the Directors’ Gallery and Community Access Darkroom are fully operational at Praxis Gallery and Photographic Arts Center.

NEXT PHASE Now we’re focused on the final piece of our expansion! Praxis Project Lab, a community access studio, will support expanded programming when renovations are complete.

VISION This new multi-use space will offer a cutting-edge photography studio, a comprehensive photobook library, and ample room for artists’ projects and exhibitions.

GRANTS IN ACTION Combined with your support, Arts Impact for Groups and Flexible Support grants from the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council have jumpstarted the renovation process.

INCLUSIVITY Praxis Project Lab will serve as a collaborative hub for artists from all walks of life.

Your incredible support in 2022 made the Directors’ Gallery and Community Access Darkroom a reality at Praxis Gallery and Photographic Arts Center. We couldn't have done it without you!

Now we’re focusing on the Praxis Project Lab, our next and final expansion phase. Renovations are underway, thanks to your contributions and grants from the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council. 

We’re envisioning a dynamic community space with a top-notch photography studio, an extensive photobook library, and ample room for artists’ projects and exhibitions. Most importantly, Praxis Project Lab will be a place where artists of all backgrounds can collaborate.

To bring this vision to life, we need your help. We’ve received $6200 so far, and with your support we aim to reach our $9,500 goal. Your Give to the Max Day 2023 contribution will help strengthen a valued community resource: the region’s only non-profit hub for photographic arts.

ABOUT PRAXIS Praxis Gallery and Photographic Arts Center is a community-based, not-for-profit, artist-led organization in Minneapolis that supports the development of new and emerging artists through exhibition and education. Since our founding in 2017, our mission is to bring diverse perspectives into focus through lens-based art, creating exhibition and learning opportunities that engage, challenge, inspire, and surprise the public. Praxis provides solo and group exhibition opportunities, free monthly artist talks, workshops, artist memberships, and access memberships to our darkroom and soon our studio facilities.
