Established in 1980, Powderhorn Park Neighborhood Association (PPNA) is a community bridging and building organization in South Minneapolis. PPNA continually strives to advance its four missional aims which center on facilitating community engagement, embracing diverse voices, and fostering community and economic development. These pillars guide PPNA's successful approach to hosting community events that engage more than 25,000 participants annually and help advocate for community-centered priorities. PPNA hosts 4 major annual community events: A Celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day and 94 Strong, The Powderhorn Art Fair, Powderhorn Porchfest and the Southside Summit. We believe that coming together as neighbors is one of the best ways to achieve our goals and collectively heal as a community that has endured so much in recent years.

We work to improve livability and safety with a restorative lens, promote housing and environmental justice, and advance racial equity and equitable development.

In addition to sitting at a dozen coalition tables at any given time, PPNA administers a Renter Support Fund and REACH Twin Cities, an online repository of resources, news and events related to racial equity and community health.
