The vibrancy, diversity and community-oriented mindset that characterize the climate of our beloved Powderhorn Park Neighborhood require and deserve all of our continued support and engagement. Powderhorn Park Neighborhood Association's five full-time team members provide a broad continuum of essential services to the community. Our  current priorities to enhance the quality of life in the Powderhorn Park Neighborhood include: advocating for racial equity and housing justice, working toward equitable community development, and deepening the local impact of four major public events: Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Celebration, Powderhorn Art Fair, Powderhorn PorchFest, and the Southside Summit.

Through our coalition and advocacy work, we provide administrative leadership for initiates such as the Renter Support Fund (RSF) which provides direct rent assistance to cost-burdened renters living in Minneapolis. In 2021, the RSF has supported over 330 Minneapolis renters. Through R.E.A.C.H. (Racial Equity & Community Health) Twin Cities, we gather and disseminate news and events to encourage and build on positive action from the community sector. Our social media channels are continually updated to provide as much relevant outreach and information to community members as possible.

The intention of the 2021 Annual Fund is to expand the range of individuals who recognize and rely on PPNA to amplify their voice in the community. When we imagine what a full spectrum of representation will add, the vision for our collective future resounds with well-being.
