Thank you for helping us bring our work to the stage in Minneapolis this spring!

Now you can help us return to New York City this fall.

ORLANDO: A Rhapsody is a theater piece directed by Vinora Epp, conceived and performed by Steven Epp and Vinora Epp.

Two actors, father and daughter, tell their own story through the words of Virginia Woolf, composing an alternately fanciful, visceral, and vulnerable duet. Like children, they put on a "living-room play." All the while, wrestling existential questions of gender and fiction: or, what it means to be and why we tell stories.

ORLANDO: A Rhapsody is a shared reverie, just as much as it is a quarrel, between two generations and two experiences of art, of life.

The script pulls from Virginia Woolf's body of work; from Shakespeare; from feminist philosophers (Butler, Haraway, Le Guin); from My Dinner with André; but most of all, from ourselves.

After working on our written adaptation long-distance, then workshopping in both the US and France, ORLANDO: A Rhapsody premiered at The Tank NYC (“a home for emerging artists”) in April 2024.

We brought it to Minneapolis for a limited run in late May/early June 2025 at The Southern Theater. In November, we will bring it to New York City for one month at Paradise Factory Theater.

Thank you for support. We can't wait to see you from the stage, very soon.

A reminder that we are fiscally sponsored by The Moving Company. Your donation goes directly to ORLANDO: A Rhapsody.
