OUR MISSION: Her Voice Productions is a diverse community that sings, performs, and affirms the voices of women and girls.

OUR VISION: to strengthen and inspire individuals and communities through song. Our mission is evident in all facets of our rehearsal process and performances, and is fully supported by the commitment of our singers and our audience. We sing music that is supportive and encouraging to women, music that challenges us artistically, inspires us soulfully, and empowers us to use our voices for good in the world.

WHO WE ARE: We are a woman-led and woman-run organization. The Twin Cities Women’s Choir and the Twin Cities Girls’ Choir are the only non-auditioned choirs for women and girls in the Twin Cities, and TCWC is the only free-to-participate choral program in Minnesota. Across programing we are a unique mix of LGBTQ+ identifying people and straight allies with a commitment to fostering an ongoing and positive LGBTQ+ presence in our community. While we are predominantly white, we do have varied ethnic/cultural and religious representation: African-American, Asian-American, Native American, Latina, Eastern European, Jewish, Buddhist, Christian, Agnostic and Atheist. We safely include singers who are vision-impaired, physically disabled, living with autism, and living with an array of emotional and mental health needs. Expanding our collaborations with diverse communities is a cornerstone of our mission to affirm the voices of all women and girls.

WHAT WE NEED: Funds to provide technology, guest artists, and TCGC Scholarships for our 2020-21 online music making season.

In light of the ongoing pandemic, we've had to reimagine our season's programmatic offerings. This meant including multiple ways singers could engage online from performance preparation,  to monthly sing-a-longs, to masterclasses featuring special guest artists, and a racial awareness discussion group, all for the women's choir. Then we added  individual voice instruction to the girls choir offerings, in addition to our Mezzo and Concert choirs for the girls. In what could have been a year where we would see lower participation numbers, we were stunned to welcome 150 returning and new singers to our organization!  TCWC even has singers joining us from other parts of the state and country now that we rehearse online!

We are ecstatic to be able to continue to strengthening our community, even though we are unable to come together physically, however with these changes come large adjustments in budgeting, income, and expenses. This is why we need you! We need to raise $7,500 to help offset increases in technology costs, guest artist fees, and most importantly help to offset increased needs in scholarships for TCGC. This season after grantors changed funding options, and loses to income for concerts, we had to reduce our budgets by 47%.
