Franciscan Ministries

Franciscan ministries extend the Franciscan values and way of life out into the world. Your Give to the Max donation supports a variety of programs and offerings.

Integral Ecology - The Franciscan community, including sisters and associates, follow in the footsteps of Saints Francis and Clare and view all of creation as connected and interwoven. What we do to others and to the Earth, we do to ourselves. We strive to live in the spirit of Pope Francis’s Encyclical Laudato Sí and respond to his call for action on behalf of the well-being of the planet and the poor.

  • One Planet Fund
  • Border Encounters
  • Good Friday Walk for Peace
  • Green Fair Folk Festival

Franciscan Life Center facilitates spiritual growth in the Franciscan tradition for individuals and groups. Through retreats, spiritual direction, contemplative prayer sessions, various enrichment and outreach events, rituals and celebrations, we promote the Franciscan way of life which opens us to the God who continually seeks us.

  • Engaging Franciscan Wisdom, a podcast hosted by Sister Michelle L’Allier
  • Blessing of the Animals, an annual event in October to honor the Feast of St. Francis

Franciscan Associates are women and men who proclaim a call from God and desire to live out the charism and mission of the Franciscan Sisters of Little Falls. They seek to grow deeper in their relationship with God and all of creation. About 280 people are connected with the sisters as Franciscans Associates. Sisters and associates support one another in person, through letter writing, or via Zoom to strengthen their bonds. These bonds encourage associates to live the Franciscan values. Associates spread the Franciscan mission through their everyday lives.

More information on becoming a Franciscan Associates is available at https://www.fslf.org/pages/franciscan-associates
