Who we are:

Frogtown Tuned-In Inc. is a non-profit organization focused on amplifying the diverse voices of Frogtown in connection with surrounding communities. Our commitment is to provide a positive, healing, safe and empowering platform to allow community voices to be heard. Our focus is on content and programs that inspire both adults and youth to take back narrative control from the mainstream media. Our mission is to encourage, educate, and provide training to curate programming and citizen journalism that shines a true, holistic and realistic sense of community.

Frogtown Tuned-In is a non-profit that runs WFNU Frogtown Community Radio. Frogtown Tuned-In Inc. was founded by 3 Frogtown residents who believe in the power of people powered radio! WFNU is the product of almost 4 years of organizing around the idea that community-owned media can be a powerful tool to unite and empower the Frogtown community, the most racially diverse neighborhood in St. Paul. In December of 2014, we were granted a permit from the FCC to build a community LPFM radio station and broadcast on 94.1 FM. In August of 2016, WFNU raised our antenna and officially became an FM broadcaster.

Our programming comes from our community members, from country, rock, metal, hip-hop, gospel and everything in between, as well as sports talk, politics, wellness, news, spoken word and multi-lingual programming. WFNU IS AN ALL VOLUNTEER RUN STATION. This means that all of our hosts, DJs, programmers, managers, reporters, producers and engineers are all volunteers. We are here because we love community radio and want to hear and broadcast quality programming in our neighborhood.
