North Star Family Advocacy Center, located in Braham, MN is a non-profit organization that assists children, families, and vulnerable adults who have experienced abuse. Through our victim-centered approach, we listen to, connect with, and support these individuals and families as they navigate how to achieve safety, healing and justice based on their experiences.
In addition, North Star has a goal of becoming a leader in the community on body safety prevention and education, for both youth and adults. This year, we have a goal of raising $5,000 so that we are able to expand our prevention and educational efforts in our communities. We are working on a Safe and Strong Child Body Safety program to be taught in the schools, and Know and Tell (teaching signs of abuse, and what to do with the information) for our adults in the community.
