Description automatically generated“The Minnesota Tool Library has had amazing growth over the last seven years. We began with a handful of donated tools, and now our inventory contains over 5,000 unique items... Having enough physical space for all our programming and inventory was getting to be a challenge. We are so grateful to the individuals who stepped up and made it possible for our little organization to invest in our infrastructure and for those who continue to support the Tool Library financially and with their time and expertise, so we can in turn be a resource for our neighbors."    – Kate Hersey, Executive Director

Thanks to generous donors like YOU, this spring we were able to expand our Northeast Branch into an adjoining suite, and add over 500 square feet to the Tool Library!

That extra space has allowed us to increase the size of our shared community woodshop (by about 300SQF), and begin to tackle a number of other projects from our wish list.
The hole in the wall was just the beginning - MTL Volunteers have shifted our lending inventory, created new check-out counters and mobile workbenches, built custom storage for clamps and ladders, and more! We continue to cross off items from our To-Do List, but there's so much more we'd love to accomplish...

Did you know that last year 60% of our loans were processed at the Northeast branch? Please consider making a gift to our Expansion Project and investing in the Tool Library. With your your help we can make the most out of our new space, better serve our community, and continue to grow our impact!

Your donation this season will help us to upgrade our computer technology and shop signage, create consumable and reuse retail space that doesn't clog the halls, build a volunteer nook, and continue to improve and customize our lending library and shop space. With enough support we may even be able to expand the branch further!
