STRIDE Academy Community Emergency Relief Fund

STRIDE Academy’s free and reduced lunch eligible rate is almost 80%. Unfortunately, we have seen a rise in these numbers and have first-hand witnessed the struggle this causes for our families, especially during the world pandemic. Many of our families are challenged by food insecurity, frequent interruptions to utilities due to lack of funds, and chronic struggles with ensuring permanent housing. Schools have always been a lifeline to families, but perhaps even more so now that schools, through distance learning, are “in” the homes.

STRIDE Academy PATHS is asking for your contribution in order to boost our "STRIDE Community Emergency Relief Fund." These funds will be used to purchase winter boots, hats, gloves and snow pants for children who need them. We also hope to be able to provide families with intermittent assistance with transportation costs and food costs that lie outside of the parameters of our School Food Service Fund.

With cuts to education funding and decreasing enrollment across the state due to COVID, STRIDE must be very careful with its budget and remain fiscally responsible. However, STRIDE recognizes the great need in our community and the responsibility to help meet those needs. STRIDE’s hope is to create a larger Emergency Relief Fund to help with some of our students’ challenges.
