The Music Resource Center® is a state-of-the-art facility where teens can learn the latest technology in the music industry and study and participate in every phase of music production. This program is modeled after the program in Charlottesville, VA.
Since May 9, 2011, students in Duluth have been coming together two evenings a week at Sacred Heart Music Center to write, practice, and create music together. At the end of the 10 week session they put on a performance at the Sacred Heart Music Center
The mission of the Music Resource Center is to educate and inspire young people and through music equip them with life skills for the future. We accomplish this mission through music education and performance opportunities, as well as life skills mentoring.
The Music Resource Center has been providing a creative outlet for teens in Charlottesville, Virginia since 1992. In 2007 a sister facility was launched in Cincinnati, Ohio. In the summer of 2011 programming began on a new program in Duluth, Minnesota with the plans to have a state-of-the-art, permanent facility in the Historic Duluth Armory after its renovation. The Music Resource Center - Duluth is a program of the Armory Arts and Music Center.
