Help Bring the Duluth Armory Back to Life!

For generations, the Duluth Armory has stood at the heart of our community. It has been a place of service, gathering, music, and memories. Now, we are bringing this historic landmark back to life as a vibrant home for arts, music, education, creativity, and community.

But we can’t do it without you. Your gift will help the AAMC...

• Give young people a place to create. The future Armory will provide space for local artists and arts organizations while supporting programs like the AAMC’s Music Resource Center, giving students in grades 6–12 opportunities to learn, create, perform, and discover their own voices.

• Create a community gathering place for generations. We’re building more than a renovated building. We’re creating a vibrant, mixed-use destination where people can experience music and art, connect with one another, learn new skills, and make memories.

• Celebrate a legendary musical legacy. The Armory’s Historic Main Stage hosted some of the biggest names in music, including Louis Armstrong, Buddy Holly, The Beach Boys, Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash, and many more. Imagine the artists and unforgettable moments still to come.

• Preserve Duluth history. Your gift helps restore one of Duluth’s most iconic buildings, proudly listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

• Honor those who served. The Armory has deep military roots, including the generations of veterans who trained and served there with the historic 125th Field Artillery. We want their stories, and their service, to remain part of Duluth’s future.

More About Our Organization

 The Armory Arts & Music Center (AAMC) is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization established in 2003 with the mission to preserve and revitalize the Duluth Armory and its value to Duluth's culture and arts community. As this mission comes to life, AAMC is designing and building an arts and music center that embraces and celebrates the spirit of music, brings the community together, and provides a space for artists to create and connect. The Duluth Armory is scheduled to reopen in Fall 2027.
