Memorialize the Movement (MTM) is a living archive dedicated to collecting, preserving, and activating the plywood protest murals that were created during the Minneapolis Uprising of 2020 and beyond. By providing space for youth, artists, and our BIPOC community to heal, reflect, and learn, MTM seeks to address the issues of police brutality, community safety, and representation for Black and Brown creatives and conservationists.

Over the last five years we've been fortunate to serve our community in a number of ways, from curating 10 exhibitions in and around Minneapolis to supporting over 50 BIPOC artists by creating paid opportunities for them to creatively express themselves. Even with all this success funding has continued to be a struggle for us, and with the current political climate things have only become more difficult. We are currently facing eviction from our HQ, where we have stored the murals securely and worked out of since October of 2023. This space has become more than just a home for the murals, it has become a community gathering space, a work space for our team, and a symbol resistance and hope in south Minneapolis.

Please show your support by donating today to raise money to help us pay to keep our HQ!
