I am a longtime supporter and board member of Africa Classroom Connection. This organization appeals to me on many levels. By building safe classrooms in poor rural areas of South Africa, it has provided a lasting impact on many individual students, their families, and their communities. Education strengthens individual talents, awakens untapped potential, and changes the trajectory of a young person's life . Education can allow these eager students the opportunity to climb from hopelessness to careers with the potential to serve many others. By requesting a classroom build, each community commits to providing support in some fashion (raising financial deposits of about 3% (significant to them), leveling land, and securing water needed for construction), thus making classrooms a key element of local society and local pride. These kids could easily be forgotten, but we believe they deserve the chance our classrooms give them.

Since 2006, ACC has served over 42,000 kids by building 125+ classrooms. We have over 100 classroom requests from rural communities waiting for our help.

Just $13,000 funds a classroom. Africa Classroom Connection aims to raise $26,000 in this campaign to build 2 classrooms! These will serve 100 students each year for generations to come! Education anywhere is education everywhere.
