Minnesota Africans United (MAU) vision is to improve the quality of life for African immigrants living in Minnesota. We help connect our network of over 350,000 African immigrants with vital information and resources so they can thrive in our great state. At the core of this vision is education and workforce. Education has the ability to not only transform the person, but their community, their nation, and our world.

Take for example Kofi Annan. He was born in Ghana and received a grant to study economics at Macalester College. He then went on to become the secretary general of the United Nations and was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2001 for his focus on human rights and efforts to contain the spread of HIV/AIDS.

MAU is proud to launch the Kofi Annan Scholarship Fund. Our goal is to raise $10,000 so African immigrants can achieve their academic dreams at Minnesota colleges and universities. It will also support internships for people of color to travel to Africa and learn about African culture through exchange programs to any African university. Launching the Kofi Annan Scholarship program is a critical step for MAU and realizing our vision.

Please consider partnering with us by making a donation. With your help, we will pay for tuition, books, insurance, flight tickets, food, housing and technology. No gift is too small, and it just could help fund the next Kofi Annan.
