Maisy's Mission

Maisy Jolaine Leon made, like her namesake great grandma Jolaine Tauer, had such an unbelievably profound impact on everyone that got the chance to meet her. Right from birth she continued to beat all the odds and surprise the hospital staff with her strength and fight for life. She truly earned the name Mighty Maisy. With every turn of events she continued to exceed everyone's expectations of her. Her grace and tolerance of all the treatments and procedures were unmatched. She fought with all her strength and the utmost grace. Her sassiness and silliness shown through every day we got to spend with her. She, even at her young age, was showing some fun family features as well. She had long fingers and eyelashes just like her sister and a cute, dimpled chin like her dad. She loved to kick her little feet, and we were all convinced she would be a tap dancer like her sister. She loved to hold her breathing tube to "help" out the respiratory staff and she saved all her extra poopy diapers for Mom and her favorite nurse Mike. Her time with us although cut way too short was unbelievably beautiful and impactful.
