Lucy's Fundraiser to support Queer Youth!

June 30, 2021 is GiveOUT Day, a day exclusively created for the many incredible organizations providing support and resources to the LGBTQIA+ community. As a recent member of the Arise Project steering committee, we work with a handful of incredible local organizations who provide essential services to Twin Cities LGBTQIA+ youth experiencing housing instability. I am calling on my friends, family, and community to show up for our youth on GiveOUT Day so we can continue to support these youth year round.

I would like more than ever for all queer people, young and old, to live beautiful, supported, safe, thriving lives. We know that many intentional and systemic barriers exist to prevent this from being the reality for many in the Queer community, especially our Trans and BIPOC neighbors, friends, and family. By giving to the Arise Project, you are ensuring that essential funds are being given directly towards organizations, groups, and individuals to change this! The agencies Arise Project supports have programs that bring in mentors, community role models, and a variety of services to support and hold space for young people when they need it most. Stand with me in making progress towards a more safe, equitable, and loving world, where Queer youth have stable housing.  

My goal this year is to raise $500 for the Arise Project and my ask is this:
1) donate any amount you can whether that's $5, $10, $50, $100!
2) share with 10 of your friends, ask them to donate what they can.

Now--more than ever--we need to create safe spaces and places for our LGBTQIA+ young people. Join me TODAY! We are most powerful when we are united and standing together -- stand with me today to make a difference!
