Last year, I moved to Minneapolis for a fellowship to work with AmazeWorks, a nonprofit that provides anti-bias education to champion belonging for all. Now, I am so grateful to work full-time with this incredible organization. AmazeWorks has shaped how I show up in my relationships and community, kept me from giving in to the feeling of hopelessness, and encouraged me to channel bravery in hard moments.

After Election Day, I gained new perspectives on how belonging makes an impact on a large scale.

Maura Healey and Tina Kotek became the two first openly lesbian governors in US history. Katie Britt became the first female US Senator in Alabama. Maxwell Frost became the first Gen Z Congress representative at 25 years old. People showed up to the polls and voted with the belief that people of all identities and lived experiences belong in positions of leadership.

Each time a person breaks a barrier and becomes a "first," belonging for all becomes that much more possible. Amidst this celebration, we know there is still work to do. AmazeWorks is committed to working so that all people can show up as their full, authentic selves in every space they occupy, whether that is in the classroom, the office, or the US Capitol Building.

Today, I am asking you to hold onto the energy you brought to the polls last week and invest in the leaders of our present and our future with AmazeWorks. We have a match of $5000, so your gift will have twice the impact. Please donate to help AmazeWorks champion equity and belonging for all and create a world full of anti-bias leaders.

Thank you for supporting AmazeWorks and me with your donation!
