Give to Grow Mankato

Living Earth Center's Community Garden is set to open on May 5th!  Your donation ensures continued access to space for growing food for all members of our Mankato Community!

Given the increase in demand for food access, we have also increased the amount of garden plots designated specifically for community donation to partner organizations like ECHO Food Shelf, Theresa House, Welcome Inn, and Mankato MYPlace. 

LEC needs your support to offer handwashing stations, additional staffing, PPE (including masks, gloves and disinfectant), translation services to ensure all gardeners understand safety guidelines, 

Garden Start Up Kits that include basic garden starter plants and seeds for a first time gardener or those in need, grants for community gardeners who cannot afford the cost of a plot, and online programming designed to help educate and connect the community while we cannot be together. 

For making the following donations, you’ll receive:

$250 donation: a “Bounty Basket” full of produce grown at the garden distributed at our 2020 Community Garden to Table Picnic Gathering. And LEC “I Gave to Grow” button!

$100 donation: “LEC Make Your Own Salsa Pack”: enough organic tomatoes, peppers, and onions to make your own fresh salsa! Will be distributed at our 2020 Community Garden to Table Picnic Gathering. And LEC “I Gave to Grow” button!

$50 donation: “Zucchini Bread Love,” one large organic zucchini and Grandma Miller’s delicious zucchini bread recipe to make your own bread! Will be distributed at our 2020 Community Garden to Table Picnic Gathering. And LEC “I Gave to Grow” button!

$20 donation: LEC “I Gave to Grow” button! Exclusive design, for campaign donors only – wear with pride and know how much we appreciate you!
