Linked Circle: offers youth in the Juvenile Justice system an alternative to detention. Our program partners each youth with experienced staff to create an individual plan for their success while connecting them to the appropriate resources. A combination of in-house programs and community partnerships with organizations throughout the city, afford us many options to customize a plan to the varying needs of each youth. In addition, we forge collaboration with Probation to ensure all of their legal obligations are met for continued success.
D.R.I.V.E. (Direction, Resources, Individualized, Vision, Encouragement): Youth learn to set priorities and goals, beginning to work towards the future they want for themselves. Through training and skill development, the D.R.I.V.E. program opens doors for youth to explore employment opportunities as well as post-secondary education.
Art of Sound: Youth explore ways to express themselves through writing and performing arts (poetry, spoken word, rap). Our partnership with Smart North at Sabathani allows youth to take their gift one step further by recording their work in a studio.
0 to 100: Youth explore ways to express themselves through forms of arts. This program challenges youth to use their imagination to create something out of nothing. This year we did several cohorts (painting, comic book illustration, photography).
We Will Breathe: Youth led social justice and healing group. Provides youth a safe space to heal while empowering them to make positive changes in their own lives and impact in their communities.
POD (Pursuit of Discipline): Mentorship group where youth discuss different topics that affect them directly. Also a space for different speakers to come in and expose youth to their specific area of expertise.
Housing Support: Assist youth in finding housing that fits their needs, including emergency shelter, shared housing, and independent living. Additionally, we provide financial support through rental assistance and guidance to help them learn how to live independently. We also assist in providing essential household items such as furniture, cleaning supplies, groceries, etc.
360 Advocacy: Educational Support through case management to assist with homework help, perform school visits, and partner directly with the teachers/administrators to ensure each youth is academically successful.
Focus Therapy: This service provides counseling and coaching to youth, offering diagnostic and evaluation services along with professional opinion documents. It aims to help those struggling with symptoms such as trauma, substance abuse, anger management, anxiety, stress, behavioral and mood changes (including depression), eating concerns, self-esteem and body image issues, and grief and loss.
Lifestyle Fit: Promotes discipline, determination, and a healthy lifestyle through a variety of group workouts, including fitness classes, boxing, and yoga, as well as individual sessions with an instructor.
