Welcome to Lake Area Bank's Shelter Collection 

November 2 thru December 18, 2020

In a 2018 study, there were roughly 19,600 Minnesotans experiencing homelessness on a single night.  While the study covers data collected before the COVID-19 outbreak, it shows the depth of the problem that seems likely to worsen with increased unemployment as a result of the virus.

Lake Area Bank's core focus is to make a difference in people's lives.  During these times of uncertainty, we want to do our part to assist those in need and the increased demand at shelters in our local communities.

You can help WIPE OUT homelessness!  During 11/02/20 - 12/18/20, Lake Area Bank will collect toilet paper, Kleenex and paper towels for distribution to local shelter organizations.  In addition to collecting these basic-need items in our branch locations, please consider donating to St Andrew's Family Emergency Shelter.

St Andrew's Family Emergency Shelter seeks to prevent and end homelessness in Washington and Suburban Ramsey Counties.  We provide off-site shelter at two locations in Washington County with ongoing supportive case management with the goal of stable housing for the family.
