I joined the Frank board to discover for myself what goes on behind the scenes of an arts non-profit. As an actor, musician & designer, you don't often get opportunities to engage with the board - which is, thankfully, a trend that is changing - and I'd been curious about the disconnect for decades. At Frank, we're a "working board," because we're all invested in the success of the mission Wendy has crafted. Not only do I get to get my hands dirty, as it were, but I am involved in the practical and philosophical discussions that result in Frank action. Honestly, my takeaway is that the role can be just as fulfilling as one performed onstage, and that is entirely because Frank is invested in its mission & the people who bring it to life - more than profit, metrics and all the corporate nonsense that the big institutions can get lost in.

Frank is known for producing boundary-pushing, culturally exploratory, socially relevent work. We haven't been able to stage a show in two years, but CAN YOU JUST IMAGINE what we might produce next!?!? And don't you want to be part of the collective of folks who make it happen with their goodwill & generosity? Me too.
