Please join us on Instagram at 7pm tonight for live Intersectionality Bingo!

It'll be a great way to learn about folks moving forward work for animals, racial justice, environmental justice, and more. During the game, we'll also thank all who have given today and invite folks who haven't given to join you.

We are so close to our goal. Thank you SO MUCH for investing in animals and compassion for all!

Meet Tofu and Tempeh Moon Bear. My partner Josh and I adopted these two bunnies about a year ago. Sadly, roughly one billion rabbits like Tofu and Tempeh Moon Bear are killed each year for their fur and flesh.

As someone who cares about animals, you understand that the animals trapped in factory farms are individuals. You know that they think and feel. Your gifts to CAA help us bring this “aha moment” to countless other individuals in Minnesota. Through farm sanctuary visits, cooking classes, film screenings, our new Explore Veg Challenge, and other strategies, CAA has invited over one million people to see farmed animals for who they really are since 1998.

I stand with you as a donor wanting to make the biggest difference I can for animals, and that’s why I volunteer with, and donate to, CAA.

Today I want to share with you the actions I’ve taken as a donor myself this year to increase our capacity to make a difference for animals:

  • I joined our Circle of Care with a monthly gift

  • I joined our Legacy League

  • I’ve increased my overall annual giving

Please join me today by making a new,  increased or monthly gift.  An anonymous donor is matching every gift, plus your gift is eligible to win one of over 100 Give to the Max Day prizes that will move our work for animals forward!

Here’s just a taste of what your gift will support:

Tamuno, our Community Organizer, is building connections with youth-serving organizations, and creating events like the upcoming showing of the film Post-Traumatic Slave Diet to talk about the intersections between race, diet, human health, and animal well-being.

Laura (Executive Director), Tamuno , Emily (Design Director) and Sandy (Communications Coordinator) are expanding the Explore Veg Challenge program. The online program provides a support group and daily resources. It will help over 1,000 people embrace their empathy for animals to maintain a plant-based diet in the coming year.

Bruce, our new Wholesome Minnesota Coordinator,  is reaching out to schools and other institutions, helping their cafeterias introduce plant-based days that will spare the lives of thousands of animals like Wesley.

Laura, myself and the rest of CAA’s Board of Directors are planning now to bring back Twin Cities Veg Fest in 2021, either online, in-person, or both.

Your gift by November 19 is critical as we grow our capacity to make a difference for animals. Please consider joining our Circle of Care with a monthly gift to sustain our life-saving work.

Sincerely,

Julie Knopp

CAA Board President
