Dolan’s fundraiser for Agate!

I’m fundraising for my workplace, Agate Housing and Services!  I’ve seen my coworkers do amazing work and have a huge impact on the community in the short time I’ve been here. 

As it starts to get colder, being homeless gets scarier. At Agate, we have a welcome center where anyone in the area can come inside, get warm, have a snack, and connect with staff about resources. This alone makes me so proud to work here; there are very little spaces where people who are homelessness are welcome to just sit and take shelter. We also have a street outreach team that goes out into the community to meet people where they are at, and do what they can to provide resources that they may need. 

I love that we do on-the-ground work with neighbors, as well as systemic work at the legislature and with community partners. We also do so many things that are often overlooked, like helping people get new birth certificates, free showers, free public meals, and helping manage finances.
