“The cultivation of generosity is the beginning of spiritual awakening. Generosity has tremendous force because it arises from an inner quality of letting go. Being able to let go, to give up, to renounce, and to give generously all spring from the same source, and when we practice generosity, dāna, we open up these qualities within ourselves. Letting go gives us profound freedom and many loving ways to express that freedom. Generosity is the beginning of the path. When the Buddha taught, he always began with generosity.” ~Sharon Salzberg

Twin Cities Vipassana Collective (TCVC) is a community of people interested in developing and deepening meditation practice. Since 1986 they have provided opportunities to hear and practice the teachings of vipassana (insight) and metta (lovingkindness) meditation, with an emphasis on residential retreats led by senior teachers in the Theravada Buddhist tradition like Steve Armstrong, Kamala Masters, and Alexis Santos.

Chip has sat over ten 10-day silent TCVC meditation retreats and they've been an absolutely essential organization in his life. His first few retreats were made possible through their scholarship fund so, in the spirit of purifying the mind and heart and cultivating wisdom and understanding, please consider celebrating our marriage with a donation.

Here's a bit of dharma wisdom from Steve Armstrong:
