Help TCVC provide affordable meditation retreats and support scholarships for those who need financial assistance to attend.

Twin Cities Vipassana Collective (TCVC) is a community of people interested in developing and deepening our meditation practice. Since 1986 we have provided opportunities to hear and practice the teachings of vipassana (insight) and metta (lovingkindness) meditation, with an emphasis on residential retreats led by senior teachers in the Theravada Buddhist tradition.

TCVC is a nonprofit organization supported solely by volunteers. The board of directors provides ongoing organizational support with the help of a larger group of volunteers who help organize and manage the retreats.

The teachers that we ask to lead our retreats do not request or receive any compensation from us for their teaching. At the end of the retreat, students are encouraged to practice generosity by offering a donation to the teacher.

TCVC currently offers two meditation retreats retreats each year ranging in length from 7 to 9 days. A weekend option is sometimes offered and both beginning and experienced students are welcome. Retreats are run on a break-even basis with any money left over from one retreat used to fund future retreats.

Donations to TCVC are used to support operational expenses for the organization and provided scholarships for up to one-half the cost of the retreat for people who need financial assistance to attend. TCVC relies on donations to continue to offer our retreats and provide scholarships.
