"Remember those whom others have forgotten” is the mission of the Gifts for Seniors program.  Since its start in 1994, Gifts for Seniors has served more than 25,000 elderly people in the Twin Cities area.  The program now uses more than 60 agencies to identify those seniors who are most isolated.

We know that tens of thousands of seniors in our metro area are living in isolation, with little or no contact from the outside world.

Help us let these seniors know that they are not alone for the holiday season.  We operate from Thanksgiving to New Years, helping to make the Holidays brighter for seniors who are alone.

Research indicates that people who have social connections live longer and are physically healthier than people who are socially isolated.  Isolation can cause severe health and emotional problems – and symptoms like loss of appetite, memory loss and reluctance to take medication can intensify during the holidays.

Many folks are looking for ways to help others this time of year.  Help us touch the life of someone who is alone.
