$1,000 goal

This Give to the Max Day, I'm raising funds for Safe Hands Animal Rescue to help more homeless pets like Carly... and all the rest we save each year!

Carly was picked up in southeastern Kentucky as a stray with a broken leg. Within hours, Miss Becky whisked her off to the vet to get all fixed up with a pink cast, and reached out to our Safe House for help. Carly had a brief stay at the Safe House until she was able to ride her own private transport with Jane, arriving in Minneapolis October 22nd.

Carly landed at Rende Rescue Suite with me because I committed to be her temporary, safe place until forever. As a foster parent, I administer her medications, feed her, snuggle, give her a weekly lift to the vet for bandage changes, and do a little training. Safe Hands provides all medical, food, and anything else she needs while she is in foster. As you can see, even with the pain of a broken bone, Carly is pure joy! She has a great resident canine foster brother (Baxter) to show her the ropes and teach manners. She is soaking up all the love she can get and will soon work her charms on prospective adopters to find her perfect family.

Safe Hands rescues so many animals each year, all thanks to animal lovers like you and I. Many other rescues aren't able to take in dogs and cats that need medical or intensive care, but Safe Hands Rescue was built upon the foundation of not turning medical cases away. The Safe Hands community is something special and will allow Carly to live the rest of her days giving and receiving all the love she can. Thousands of companion animals like Carly are saved by the Safe Hands Rescue community each year, and so many of them need major medical care to survive. Together we can give even more companion animals what we desperately want for them all, hope; the chance for a better life filled with love and kindness.

  • Please consider being a foster parent to a homeless pet with Safe Hands. You can do it no matter your situation. Anything you can give is far better than their current situation. Trust me! There is a backlog of animals in need. We need you.
  • Your gift towards my Give to the Max Day fundraiser for Safe Hands will go directly toward giving a second chance to animals like Carly. Your gift will rid them of fear and pain, and begin the rest of their lives as deeply loved family members.

Thank you for your time, consideration and anything you are able to give.

Respectfully,

Heather & sidekick Baxter
