Haiti Partnership

Onè! Respè!   Honor! Respect!

A partnership between Bonne Nouvelle Episcopal Church in Bigonet, Haiti and Sts. Luke & James Episcopal Church in Minnesota.

Over 15 years we have built a partnership built on relationship, respect and trust.  We have traveled back and forth hosting each other in our homes.  Minnesotans have helped cut up a goat for a celebratory meal in Bigonet and Haitians have experienced the joy of snowmobiling on the North Shore.  We pray for each others’ loved ones and grieve together when there is a death in our extended family.  

At this time our friends are caught in a particularly painful crisis.  The gangs in Haiti effectively control vast regions of the country including an area between Bigonet and Port au Prince.  Although our partners don’t feel in physical danger, they are cut off from receiving needed supplies, especially fuel and food.  

“Food is a luxury” we are told.  And it breaks our hearts. 

Please walk with us as we seek critical support for neighbors we know, respect and love.  We have the ability to get funds directly to the Bigonet community and with our support they are able to get food into the hands of those that need it.  

Food a luxury?  We’ll do our best to change that.  

It is timely.  It is effective.  We ask for your help.
